This policy explains how cookies are used on the veloragrandsuite.com website. The data controller is VELORA GRAND TURİZM İNŞAAT GIDA SANAYİ TİCARET LİMİTED ŞİRKETİ (“the Company”). Other information about your personal data is in the Privacy Notice (KVKK).

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that a website you visit saves on your device through your browser. A cookie placed by the site you are visiting is called a first-party cookie; a cookie placed by another domain is called a third-party cookie. Session cookies are deleted when the browser is closed; persistent cookies remain on the device for a certain period.

2. No cookies are placed on visitors’ devices

This site does not place cookies on the devices of visitors who browse its pages and submit the form. Browser storage (localStorage) is not used for visitors either.

There are no analytics, advertising or retargeting tools or social media plug-ins on the site. Fonts and scripts are loaded from the site’s own server; no requests are sent to third-party servers when a page opens. The Instagram and Facebook links are plain links that load no content until they are clicked.

The IP hash used for form security is not a cookie; it is kept on the server and is explained in the Privacy Notice (KVKK).

3. Necessary cookies, for site administrators only

When Company employees log in to the admin panel to manage the site, WordPress uses the following first-party cookies. These cookies are necessary to log in and to use the panel securely; they are not used for marketing purposes.

  • wordpress_test_cookie: Tests whether the browser accepts cookies. It is placed for anyone who opens the admin login page. Duration: session.
  • wordpress_sec_… (or wordpress_…) and wordpress_logged_in_…: Authenticate the logged-in administrator. Duration: until the browser is closed, up to 2 days; 14 days if “Remember Me” is selected.
  • wp-settings-… and wp-settings-time-…: Remember the admin panel display preferences. Duration: 1 year.
  • wp_lang: Remembers the selection if a language is chosen on the login page. Duration: session.

As these cookies are necessary for the login service explicitly requested by the user, they are based not on explicit consent but on the legitimate interest condition in Article 5(2)(f) of Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK; “the Law”).

4. Third-party cookies: the map only

The map in the Contact section does not load until you click the “Show map” button. Before you click, no request goes to Google and no Google cookie is placed.

When you click, the map is loaded from Google servers (google.com, maps.googleapis.com, maps.gstatic.com, fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com). At this stage Google may process your IP address and browser information, place its own cookies on your device or read cookies it has placed before. The names, purposes and durations of these cookies are determined by Google; the Company has no control over these cookies. Details: https://policies.google.com/technologies/cookies

Your map preference is not stored. When you reopen the page, the map is closed again.

The “Open in Google Maps”, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and booking (Reseliva) links take you to other sites. The cookies used there are subject to those sites’ policies.

5. How can you manage cookies?

You can view and delete cookies in your browser settings, usually in the “Privacy and security” section. You can block all cookies or only third-party cookies. After opening the map, you can also delete Google cookies in the same place.

Blocking cookies does not affect the parts of the site open to visitors; only logging in to the admin panel will not be possible.

6. Changes

If adding analytics, advertising or social media tools to the site is considered, then before they are added:

  • This policy and the Privacy Notice (KVKK) will be updated.
  • A cookie management panel will be set up for cookies that require explicit consent.
  • The panel will offer “Accept”, “Reject” and “Preferences” options with equal visibility.
  • Cookies that require consent will be off by default; pre-ticked boxes will not be used.
  • These cookies will not be placed until you give your consent. You can withdraw the consent you have given just as easily.

7. Your rights and contact

Your rights under Article 11 of the Law and the methods of application are set out in Sections 8 and 9 of the Privacy Notice (KVKK).
